Toddler Program
Our toddler program has evolved over the past 25 years. We concentrate on promoting social skills and emphasizing language stimulation and large muscle development. Multiple social activities (circle time, snack time and work time) encourage our students to interact with both adults and each other in positive and meaningful ways leading to parallel and eventually cooperative play. Songs, books records and games which elicit language are heavily used. The gymnasium and our newly renovated outdoor play area (weather permitting) are used for at least 30 minutes daily to give your child the time to run, climb, jump, slide, etc.
The teacher student ratio for our classes are 4 students to 1 teacher. We have 2 classrooms which can accommodate 8 students and one classroom which can accommodate 12 students.
The school year for toddlers runs from early September to early June and loosely follows the public school calendar. Before any student begins we conduct an intake interview for parents and students to meet and get acquainted with the teacher. Individual separation strategies are created for each student, however the bonding begins the moment a child is embraced with the warmth of his/her teacher.
